Well, there's no way to change just the IP using networksetup. Also, you can't batch send a different command to multiple machines. That's kind of the opposite of what ARD is for. So I don't think you can do this exactly the way you're thinking. There may be scripting options in the form of lists and for loops that could get the job done, but they'd probably be pretty ugly.

How do I change just the IP? I want t select a group of computers in ard and send a unix command to change their ip in sequence so computer#1 would be 192.168.1.2 and computer#2 192.168.1.3 and so on

Thank you for this great find. A customer of mine had this problem when transferring photos from her old blackberry to her new 4S. It is a common bug that I'll know how to fix in the future for all cases.

Oh btw - not that it is useful, but if you really want to call a place by a name, add the contact via the microphone. It almost always gets the spelling horribly wrong - but at least it can find it when you go to say it.

On another note, if you try and do anything with Siri that uses maps/locations in foreign countries (for me Germany) Siri will fall over and say that service cannot be used in Germany... really? :-( Goes to maps and uses *search*

Wow, a great way in order to go about and explaining the importance of Time and as to why the need of development of Time Machines became popular among human beings.

Thanks, Federico. I wish I had time to post more, but, alas!

Yes, any sort of change to the file, or really, anything that forces the Finder to reexamine the file (like restarting the Finder) seems to do the trick for many of these issues. The Lion Finder seems to be slow to process filesystem details for some reason.

I seem to remember similar issues in Tiger. Hmmm...
